We have an action packed few days planned for our senior dance and drama students in London this October. Our popular trip which we have run since 2008 allows our students to work alongside industry professionals in the West End with master classes in the famous Pineapple Dance Studios , students also get a glimpse of what stardom is really like for professional theatre performers, with tickets to two spectacular West End shows and we also cram in lots of top London attractions . Here’s a sneak peak of what 2015’s tour has in store …..
Day 1:Wednesday 13/20 October
London Bridge and Tombs Experience :
Become part of London’s gruesome history and travel back in time to an age of adventure, uncovering the dark secrets that lie beneath the worlds most famous and haunted bridge. Laugh, scream and cheer your way through 2000 years of history. You will SEE, HEAR and even SMELL what London Bridge was like throughout the ages.After taking all of this in you will enter the vortex and be taken back to the multi award winning present day hell, more commonly known as The London Tombs.Hold tight to your friends as you make your way through the UK’s Scariest Attraction coming face to face with the demons that we keep locked way below.Staff are on hand at all times for those who cannot handle the horror with a Guardian Angel tour. They will be taken ahead of the rest of the group, get to experience the sights and sounds of the London Tombs but none of our mad detainees will scare them or chase them so they can still enjoy the full experience without worrying about being scared…but for the rest of you – get ready for the biggest fright of your life as you head deeper and deeper into the London Tombs ……
Following lunch we will visit The Tower of London where we will enjoy the spectacular display of the Crown Jewels, revealing these priceless treasures like never before. We will explore how the Monarchs have shaped British society and our very own Yeoman Warder tour will entertain us with tales from the Tower.
That night we will watch Miss Saigon in the Prince Edward Theatre . Winner of a record-breaking nine Whatsonstage Awards 2015 including Best Show, this epic love story tells the tragic tale of young bar girl Kim, orphaned by war, who falls in love with an American GI called Chris – but their lives are torn apart by the fall of Saigon .
Day 2: Wednesday 14&21 October
No rest for the wicked , we will be up early to take part in a masterclass with the cast of Miss Saigon in the famous Pineapple Dance Studios. No trip to Pineapple is complete without a trip to the store for clothing !!!
That afternoon we will visit Trafalgar Square, Londons National Gallery, Buckingham Palace and of course Oxford Street .
Show number two is Matilda The Musical, the multi-award winning musical that tells the story of an extraordinary little girl who, armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind, dares to take a stand and change her own destiny.
Day 3: Thursday 15&22 October
Our final day in London is a treat for all our Harry Potter fans with a trip to Warner Brothers Studios, where all eight Harry Potter films were made, the Studio Tour offers visitors the unique opportunity to explore two soundstages and a backlot filled with original sets, animatronic creatures and breathtaking special effects.
We are so excited for the trip. Those that have travelled with us before will agree it’s one of the highlights of their time with us, with memories that will last forever…… Don’t worry though if you’re not heading on this years trip because planning for London 2017 is already underway!!! It’s London Baby !!!!
